Lounging Around

Joey is finally at St. Paul’s. Success! He is currently residing in the old patient lounge (bed shortages), but at least he has a bed where he needs to be. Even if he has to piss into a carafe (no washroom or sink, but we managed to finagle a hand sanitizer pump), has no cupboards to put his clothes into, and random patients stop by to see if they can come into his room to watch TV (it was the lounge, after all). The pay phone and oxygen canisters in the corner of the room also add some character. Although I must say, it does feel a touch gas-station-esque with the payphone and all.  Some photos would be funny, but alas, I’m not on my A-game.

Are anxious to see the new pain doctors. Would love to get the ball rolling on pain management. Will see what tomorrow brings.

Mood: significantly less grumpy. Hurray for the CF clinic!

    Happy for less grumpy!

Listen, I had an idea. Obv, when you read it, it is 90% joke. But hear me out…

Okay, you know voodoo right? We stereotype it as this whole evil spirits and moonshine type of religion. But maybe those dudes are onto something. And if you look into it, they have a lot of (actually they are *mostly*) spells for GOOD.

So, I wanna put some ‘white voodoo’ on Joey. 🙂

Heres what I’m thinking: You know the pin-cushion thing where they make an effigy of someone they want bad things to happen to, then stick pins into it? Yeah, we’re gonna reverse that.

I think the process goes like this – 1) get a doll, 2) Christian doll as target person, 3) stick pins in to cause pain in recipient.

So my idea is to reverse steps 2 and 3.

I am going to make a doll. Them im going to stick pins into it (especially around the liver area). Only *then* will I do the spells to make it into a ‘Joey doll’. And then, get this, *now* I pull the pins out.

    Brilliant, right?

I will (literally, using a makeshift doll) try this tonight. If Joey feels any less pain tomorrow vis a vis today, you got me to thank, lol. 🙂
